As the holiday season draws near, team members are starting to make their year end holiday plans, and we wanted to provide some additional information that could help you structure schedules, and align with your Extenteam team members.
Did you know that the Philippines has one of the longest holiday seasons in the world, starting in September and ending in January? Just a heads up on most of the Extenteam team members' culture and tradition!
We understand that you have business needs that need to be met and team members are expected to work and adhere to their given schedules. However, you may want to consider any of these options to allow your team members to celebrate the holidays with their families.
- Work on a skeleton staffing (minimum number of team members needed to operate your business)
- Allow the team members to take a few days off. The holiday dates in the Philippines are December 24 and 25 (Christmas Eve and Christmas Day), and December 31 and January 1 (New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day).
We recommend having your team members plot and submit their requests ahead of time. Possibly, set up a huddle with them to see if they have any prior commitments. Set up a deadline to submit their requests so you have enough time to review, approve, and plan accordingly.
Holiday Pay and Bonuses
At Extenteam, we only bill our Partners for the hours a team member worked, so if a team member opts to take a day off, they will not get paid.
However, if you wish to provide them with a paid day off, or reward them with a holiday bonus, please email our Partner Success team at partnersuccess@extenteam.com, with the name of the team member to be rewarded, reason, and amount of bonus to be given, and we can get that request submitted.
It is important to note that Extenteam never takes a cut from bonuses! The entire bonus goes directly to the team member. Learn more about How to Reward a Team Member here.
